Custom Walkway Mezzanine
Company needed to access the hatches on tank trucks to perform washdown operations. Final solution had to service three separate truck bays. A custom designed mezzanine walkway system with retractable gangways was designed. The mezzanine provides access to the tank hatches on top of the trucks. Workers can traverse the washdown building by way of a catwalk mezzanine that is located over the truck lanes. Special "finger" stairways with retractable gangways, positioned along the walkway, provide access between the truck lanes. Workers can access trucks in three separate bays without returning to the floor level. The overhead walkways provide convenient, efficient and safe travel. Solution eliminated time-consuming, circuitous routes around the trucks at the floor level.
