Mission Expansion: Complete
In May 2014 we began the latest expansion of our manufacturing facility in Waupaca. The goal was to expand the plant to a total of 106,000 square feet and introduce new machinery to stay ahead of the growing demand we’ve (happily) faced, and to provide new products such as stainless steel platforms, tube steel framing and wide flange framing on a much larger scale. There were a few hiccups along the way, which is to be expected on a project as large as this one, but as of December the expansion was complete and all equipment has been fully functional.
For the January sales meeting the marketing and sales teams headed up to Waupaca to check out the 31,500 square foot addition and our new capabilities. We were able to see many of the new machinery at work, including the PythonX 6-axis plasma cutter at work automatically cutting out stair stringers. Equally impressive were the new welding area and bead blast booth which are both used in the fabrication and finishing stages of stainless projects.
We now have the means to accommodate many more of the custom requests that we’ve received in the past. Thanks to the PythonX and hydraulic pipe bender we no longer have to shy away from projects that require wide flange beams or round rail. However, our continued growth hasn’t compromised our core values: we still strive to offer the most reliable and cost effective mezzanines in the industry and always have our customers in mind.
If you would like to see the new plant expansion don’t hesitate to let us know, we would be happy to set up a visit.
